How They're made
1 - I’ll get a brief that’s all about you
It's great to hear you want a totally custom pair of shoes! The first step is to get some inspiration so that we can come up with some ideas to get started, I'd recommend taking a peek at the LookBook.
We'll have an initial discussion...
I'll have an initial discussion with you to make sure I have a really clear brief. This can be by email, over the phone or FaceTime / Skype, whatever suits you best. After the discussion, I'll be able to work on ideas and draft designs personalised to you. If you haven't got in touch yet, you can contact me here.
Decide when you'd like your order...
I ask brides to give me 5 - 6 weeks notice. This ensures that I have enough time to plan out the design, get all the right materials, get to work and pop them in the post so you have them in time for your special day. If your date is just around the corner, I can do urgent orders, however they're subject to availability.
2 - Confirm the brief and get a quote
We'll confirm the elements of your brief...
Now that I know the style and theme you'd like, I'll arrange a video or phone call just to run through it, making sure you're happy with the direction.
I'll send you a detailed quote and request a deposit...
There's a lot of love, care and attention to detail that goes into making a bespoke pair of shoes, so I'll send you a quote that factors in:
Sourcing and cost of materials (including the base shoes)
Hand-making your bespoke shoes
Packaging and delivery
When you're happy with the quote and want to proceed, I ask for a deposit of 50% to confirm the order. The deposit is non-refundable as it will help cover the cost of materials.
3 - I’ll design and work on your dream shoes
Confirming your detailed design brief...
This is the bit I enjoy the most! Designing your dream shoes and getting to work. We'll have a collaborative Pinterest board dedicated to you, allowing us to collaborate on ideas and inspiration to ensure you get a pair of shoes you'll love. We can share images via email if you'd prefer that over Pinterest.
Putting needle to fabric...
Once you're happy with the final proposed design, I'll ask for the 2nd final payment. I'll then keep you up-to-date on the progress of your shoes via email, giving you peace of mind.
As soon as your shoes are complete, they'll be in the post...
When I'm happy that your shoes are perfect, I'll let you know when they have been carefully packaged and put in the post. They'll arrive in a well presented shoe box with a ribbon detail.
